KAMO Grain

This grain elevator was a 550,000-bushel grain-handling facility adjacent to rail tracks. It had an automation system to manage the incoming trucks and outgoing rail. KAMO experienced lightning damage to electronics exceeding tens of thousands of dollars per year.

Our goal was to protect the electrical, motor, and Allen Bradley control system from lightning. CBG Technology conducted site surveys and designed a suppression system to isolate all control systems and electrical panels. An updated uninterruptible power supply was used at the main control system. This project paid for itself in less than one year.
